Moriah Oliphant started dancing ballet when she was 8 years old. She continued throughout high school and college at San Jose State University. Throughout her childhood, she performed in the Spring Dance Concert, an annual dance show in Fort Bragg, CA. While attending San Jose State University, she studied ballet from Gary Masters and Modern Dance from Heather Cooper. She worked as the Lead House Manager of the Dance Department where she managed all of the university’s dance performances. After graduating San Jose State University, she took 6 years off dancing and focused on yoga, swimming, and pursuing a career in psychology. Last August she moved back to San Jose to study American Sign Language at Ohlone College. There, she took a Contemporary Dance class with Cassie Begley. She discovered Bliss Dance Company while in this class, and was encouraged to audition.
