Welcome to the premiere of To Be A Woman...
Today's viewing takes us through the every day challenges of what it means to be a woman in a society deeply-rooted in patriarchy. From the way women choose their clothes to maintaining their body hair; from the way they see their skewed reflections to their need for, specifically, male approval - the pressure to live up to the definition of 'woman' is present in everything they do. The impossibility of womanly perfection is the cage placed upon them from birth.
Thank you for being here with us today. Our process is one of true authenticity as our art comes from our realities. It is a journey of internal research until we hit a nerve or two; and, that's when we know we've also hit gold. There's no other way for Bliss art to be made.
